I had the privilege to be selected to read and review An Alphabet Trip to the Limerick Zoo. I have 2 young daughters and this is right up their alley. They thoroughly enjoyed the book.

The book was very well written. The colored pictures were amazing and easily captured my 4 and 6 year old daughters’ attention. The story teaches children about 26 different animals, including extinct, water, and land inhabitants. As a 28 year old, I learned a lot that I didn’t know before. This is definitely a great tool for children to learn from. Not only does it teach about animals, it is written in limerick form. It could be used by home-school parents in many subjects such as biology (to learn about the animals) and English classes- where it can be used to teach children about poetry, going as far as to what kinds of poetry there are.

An Alphabet Trip to the Limerick Zoo is an eBook and can be found on the Kindle. I haven’t been able to find it specifically for Nook, but since it is available as a PDF, it is readable on Nook. I know the iPad has the Kindle app and if you go to amazon.com, you can download an app type thing for your laptop or desktop as well and be able to purchase the book and read it there.
