I have joined Nancy from Penny Pincherholics in bringing you this wonderful review and giveaway of The Big Top Cupcake. If you’re an avid baker or know someone who is, this is the giveaway to enter. Read on for more details on what deliciousness was ensued in Nancy’s kitchen and how you can get one of these awesome bakeware sets for yourself.
I’m sure I speak for all the dessert lovers out there when I say that there is no better way to satisfy your sweet tooth than with a ginormous cupcake. When I heard that I was given the opportunity to review the Big Top Cupcake pan, I was beyond ecstatic. All of the possible frosting flavors and fillings came rushing through my mind and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of giddiness knowing that I’ll be having a cupcake that’s 10 times the size of a normal cupcake in my possession. Can you imagine?
So when the Big Top Cupcake arrived at my doorstep, you already know what kind of excitement I was feeling. As usual, I ripped open the shipping box, grab the packaging out, and start reading everything from cover to cover. I wasted no time taking it to the kitchen and putting it to use. My husband looked at me like I was crazy because I had this huge smile on my face I almost looked crazy. Yes, that’s what baking equipment does to me. Is that weird?
I decided to make an English toffee buttermilk cake with a sweet orange glaze to drizzle over it. The thought of it made my mouth water and that only got me to working faster. So, my ginormous cupcake adventure began….
With the pans lightly sprayed and the batter all ready to go, I finally popped them into the oven and waited (im)patiently for the results….

| English Toffee Buttermilk Cake With an Orange Glaze Drizzle |
Doesn’t it look yummy? The directions were so easy to follow and it came out just the way I wanted it to. A couple things that I did to make everything run as smoothly as I expected were to spray the pans very lightly with non-stick spray and level out the cakes when they were out of the oven and cooled. The directions mentioned this and I followed it to the letter….I’m glad I did because things worked out perfectly. The pans are very sturdy and can stand up to the heat without getting warped or damaged. The best part is, it’s refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher safe! So convenient.
I have to say, I think I’ve found a new baking toy. There are so many possibilities with this pan and you’re not limited to just making it look like a cupcake. As you can see above, I simply did a glaze drizzle to show hopefully show you how it looks when they come out of the oven. Next time, I’m thinking of doing a cute little bee hive. Oh the possibilities….
I am absolutely ecstatic that I had the opportunity to try out The Big Top Cupcake. It fit so perfectly into my lifestyle that I couldn’t be more happy about doing this review. And guess what? This review is not the only thing that came with this awesome bakeware…..there’s a giveaway too! You all have a chance to win one for yourself. I can feel the excitement from everyone as I’m typing. Kentucky Butter Cake Recipe
I LOVE butter. I ran across this recipe and had to share it with you! Enjoy.

all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tspbaking soda
1 c real butter
2 c sugar
4 eggs
1 c buttermilk
2 tsp vanilla extract
BUTTER SAUCE
1 c sugar
1/4 c water
1/2 c butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour bundt pan. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, set aside. Cream: 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, and then blend in eggs, mix in buttermilk, and vanilla, adding alternately milk and flour mixture into creamed mixture. Pour in bundt pan and bake for 1 hour. Leave in pan.
Butter Sauce: In medium sauce pan on medium heat mix sugar, water and butter, bring to low boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved, add vanilla.

Heavenly Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Here’s another MMMMM recipe to make up for my absence!
Heavenly Cinnamon Rolls
There’s nothing like the smell of a fresh baked cinnamon roll. The smell makes you dream of biting into a heavenly delight that will take you away to paradise. This wonderful cinnamon roll recipe is topped with pecans and a sweet cream cheese frosting. The best part is when you stop breathing in the enchanting aroma and take your first bite.
Ingredients
- For the Dough:
- 4 cups bread flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- For the Filling:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 tablespoon flour
- For the Icing:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a Kitchenaid mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups bread flour and yeast. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk, 1/3 cup butter, sugar, and salt until 120 degrees F. Remove from heat and stir until the butter is melted. Add to the flour and yeast.
- Mix on low, using a regular paddle, adding the eggs one at a time.
- Change the mixer attachment to the dough hook. Beat the dough at low, adding the remaining flour a little at a time. Increase speed to medium until a soft dough forms, approximately 3 minutes.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape dough into a ball. Place in a lightly greased bowl, turning once to coat both sides. Cover with a clean dish towel.
- Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.
- Punch the dough down and turn out onto a floured surface. Cover and allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Combine the light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, chopped pecans, and flour for the filling.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, approximately 20 inches by 10 inches. Spread with softened butter. Sprinkle with the filling mixture, leaving a 1 inch space on one long edge without filling.
- Starting on the long side, roll the dough up, working it tightly but without pulling the dough too much. Seal the long edge by pinching it shut.
- Cut the dough into 12 even slices by cutting the dough in half, cutting those halves in half and then the quarters into three slices each.
- Place each roll in a large bar pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, allowing about one inch between them. Cover and allow to rise in a warm place about 40 minutes or until doubled.
- TIP: Before allowing the final rise, rolls may be tightly covered and placed in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Remove from the refrigerator and allow to rise before baking.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes.
- While the rolls bake, combine the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla, stirring until well blended. Stir in the powdered sugar and then add the milk a little at a time until reaching the desired consistency.
- Remove rolls from the oven and spread with icing.
